Importance of objectivity in declining picturesWhat I wanted to talk about in this journal is something that appears to be a huge pink elephant in the room that nobody dares discuss feely (I am exaggerating, of course, but to a small extent it is a "no-no" subject) the issue of declining submissions, having your submissions declined, should a reason be given for declining someone's work and what are the comments that can be given that will, most likely, make the artist feel awful versus, how it can be done more constructivelly.Importance of objectivity in declining pictures by photofairy
Immediately, one notices that there are levels of filtering in this system, so that hopefully if you take 100 pictures in one session, you will choose the best 3 to upload to dA and perhaps you will submit to groups only those that you like best, the ones you wish to promote at that moment and the ones that comply with specific group's submission rules.
So the safe bet is - the vast majority of artists here try to choose their best, and by submitting to groups, they put themselves on the line to be ju
